TENTH DAY

I got up at 6:30. I spent the night alone because after the concert, Dev and her friends slept in Ana’s house (she is also a friend of Dev). As soon as I got ready,Vicky took me to school.

I went to Maths and Biology lessons and then I went to the library. I did not attend more lessons because I had to finish the projects I am supposed to do. Then at 3:45 I returned home.

In the afternoon I talked with my parents. I miss them so much! On the one hand, I do not want to go home because I am going to miss my American family, but, on the other hand, I want to stay at home. It is a mixture of feelings and emotions.

At night I watched a Spanish programme, MHYV, while Dev was studying. When the programme was over, I started to pack.

NINETEENTH DAY

Today, I prepared cold milk and two toasts with strawberry jam for breakfast.
Later I went to the school and I spent a lot of time in the library because I had to type my diary on the computer and do my homework.
In the afternoon I stayed with Natalia in the gym while we were seeing the cheerleaders dancing and doing cart wheels. This lasted one hour.

When we finished, we got on Julia´s car and we went shopping with her little sister, too.
They entered their favourite shop and Natalia and I went to the GAP shop. Some clothes were expensive but cute. I needed to buy gifts and I bought a sweater and a Tshirt. Later we entered another shop.

In this shop I had to ask for permission to enter the dressing nom. They had a key.
I only bought a black dress and some jeans.
When we were out , we looked for them. After five or ten minutes we met them.
We left the clothes in the car and we went to a restaurant where their parents were.
There I ate some different spicy chicken and chips with a sauce . It was delicious!
Later we went to a pharmacy without their parents and they bought food.
Finally we arrived home and Natalia and I entered our bedroom because we had to start to pack our suitcases.

At half past eleven we went to bed and slept.

ELEVENTH DAY

Hi! My day was very different from other days.
I got up at half past six. I wanted to sleep I ate my breakfast and I went to school.
There I met my Spanish friends and we took a bus to start our visit around Macon.
At first we visited Historic Fort Hawking, a man explained us many things about the Indians and the fight between the Americans and the British for the territory. We were the first group visiting this fort. It was amazing!
Later we went to a beautiful park to eat. We ate hot dogs with chilli.
After lunch we had forty minutes to walk down a street where the official store of the University of Macon and cafes were. I bought a very nice sweater.
Then we visited the great University of Macon. There are very good medical schools. My new family told me that this University is very expensive!
Finally we went to school and I saw Elizabeth’s cheerleading practices and then we went to buy dinner. We ate an Italian sandwich and an apple.
Tomorrow it will be a very hard and fun day…Now I will go to sleep! Sweet dreams!

The weekend

This weekend was amazing!!

This Saturday morning, Spanish people and Miss Arnett went on a trip in connection with the Indians. There, we learned about another culture in the United States. We could see the Indians' dance and their special contact with the Earth. For them, everything symbolizes something. There, I could buy some bracelet, some necklaces, a ring... It was funny!

In the afternoon, we hoped for the best... The pool party in Alina's house! It was a typical American party! Music, friends, pizzas, cupcakes... (♥♥♥) and a scary movie! Alina's house is incredible... It's like a palace. It has everything you want. I want to live there, please...!

Today, Sunday, was so funny too. In the morning, my family and me went to the church and then, we got ready for bowling! A very good afternoon! I think that I'm not very bad at this! I liked it so much, and I hope to practice it more times.

SEVENTH DAY

Today was a very special day... I love Fridays, and here, more.

In the school, today was different. We had forty five minutes in each class: we had to attenda meeting about old people that studied in Mount Sales Academy. It goes back into  19th century! It's a very old school!

We attended another meeting where children had to sing. Everything is like in the movies ... And all this was aimed to collect money and give it to the poor people. It's a beautiful gesture!

Now, I'm going to talk about the afternoon... It was incredible! All my Spanish friends and me went to an American football game! I really wanted to see someone! It was perfect... We were singing and jumping all the time to encourage the players. I saw to the cheerladers... they are very good dancers. While we were singing... we got to know a lot of new people. We threw white powder to the sky, the others gave us a rugby ball... It'll be difficult to forget about this.

Now, I'm so happy about my perfect day but... I'm so tired too. Tomorrow, we'll have a party in Alina's house! In a swimming pool! It'll be a very good weekend, I'm sure.

Good Night!                                                             ♥ ♥ Fridays ♥♥

SIXTH DAY

My day was similar to the one we had. I got up at half past six and I had my breakfast. Elizabeth's father drove us to school and in ten minutes we were there. In Spanish lesson the students finished their exams from the previous day. In Sapin I couldn't do that, and I think that it was a good idea. I would like to do it because I'm usually the last to finish the exams in my class.
Then we had a Maths lesson, I liked it because I could do the exercises.
I had something to eat at my break. I ate an apple, as always because I love fruit!
After break we went to a Theology lesson. For me the Theology lesson are the most boring and I don't understand many things but the teacher sometimes gives us some paper to read.
The we went to an English lesson. Elizabeth was an exam and I studied Biology. The English teacher is fun!
Before lunch we went to a Chemistry lesson. Elizabeth had a very hard exam!
At half past twelve I ate my lunch with Elizabeth and my Spanish friends.
I also went to a History lesson. The teacher explained us the digferent military strategies between the Americans and the British. It was so interesting!
Finally I went to a History of Art lesson and then we went to a meeting.
Elizabeth had their cheerleading practices and I was with Celia because their girls were in the theater.
At half past five Elizabeth's father, Elizabeth and I went to buy dinner. I ate and Italian sándwich. Maybe tomorrow Elizabeth's father will cook pasta.
Tomorrow I will go to a football game because there Elizabeth will act with the other cheerleaders. They have told me that they're nervous!
After dinner I had a shower and I talked to my mother. Now I'm going to sleep because I'm tired.
When the time passes I understand English better and it is easier for me to express!

FIFTH DAY

Every morning, I have  the same routine: I get up early, I have breakfast and I go to school.
This morning was like the others. I went to the same classes because the order of them only changes each week. During the same week the classes have the same periods as every day. I hope that this week will be fast. I hate having Philosophy in the last period. It’s boring and I don’t understand anything. In spite of everything, I like this routine! This is so different and I’m so surprised because everybody is so polite and nice.
When we left the school, we went to the theatre. Here we stayed half an hour and when we finished, Caroline and Elizabeth’s mum were waiting for us in the car with their sisters’ grandmother. We arrived home and I met her grandfather. Both of them are really nice people!
We were in the garden, and we also went to the river. There are lots of trees and the landscape is green and so beautiful!
Then, I was talking with their grandparents about Spain. Everybody is surprised and scared when I show photos of the ‘Toro Enmaromado’.
After that, I helped Mrs Pearson to lay the table, we had dinner together and we finished our homework.
Today it was a fantastic day, each day that passes I feel more and more comfortable with everybody and everything. It’s being a very exciting and important experience for me.

FOURTH DAY

On Tuesday, I got up at the same time as the rest of the days, at 6:00 a.m. I had a shower like every morning and I had breakfast with Elizabeth and Caroline. The American breakfast isn’t too different from the Spanish breakfast, I drank some orange juice and milk with cereal.
At 7:30 a.m, we left the house, today their father drove his car to the school.
Tuesday morning was entertaining. Definitely my favorite lesson is Maths. I think, I really like it.
At lunch we went to a class to eat pizza with some people from the key club.
When we left the school, we went to the theatre as they had some practice and while they were performing, I was studying some Biology lessons.
After that, we returned home. Caroline and Elizabeth had to do some homework, so I was with the dogs, they are so obedient!
When they finished, we went to a Mexican restaurant. I had never eaten food from Mexico, and I really liked it! We ate very well and we returned home with full stomachs!
When we arrived, I was with Mr and Mrs Pearson. I showed them photos of my family, my village and my town. Also, I explained them the differences between the north and the south of Spain, and we were searching for photos of some monuments like the Cathedral of Leon (Mrs Pearson liked it specially, she’s very Catholic), the University of Salamanca, La Plaza de Espana en Sevilla, Galicia’s mountains, ‘El Parador’ in Benavente.. They were very surprised and I never stop thinking that Spain is very beautiful!
Finally, I had to do my homework, so I tried to finish this diary and then, when I finished it, I went to my bed. Tomorrow will be a very interesting day, Caroline and Elizabeth’s grandparents will visit us from Florida. I’m very excited and glad to meet all the members of the family, and be one more person in it!

THIRD DAY

It was the first day of school for us! I got up at 6:00 a.m, I had a shower and I got dressed. I had breakfast with Caroline and then, we went to school at 7:30.
The school is very big and different from the typical Spanish schools. I went to some classes, and my favourite one was Statistics. I understood everything (more or less). The Biology class was awful because I like Biology and I didn’t understand anything about what she was saying.
We had lunch at 11:30. Caroline had made me a sandwich, It was delicious!
After lunch, we had other classes and we had flex-time at 2;45. When the classes ended, I went with Elizabeth and Caroline to an environmental group. Then they had theatre classes, so I went with them.
Then we went to their workplace in a dance school.
We returned home at 6:30, we had dinner and when I finished this journal, I went to bed. Tomorrow I should get up early, so I need to sleep well!

SECOND DAY

I got up at 12:30, I was with the family until 4:15. At 4:15 we started to get dressed because we had to go to church.
We stayed in the church for one hour, and then we went to a concert with Natalia and Laura Smoak (Laura is Caroline and Elizabeth’s friend ). We had a very good time listening to salsa, it was so funny!
After that, we returned home for having dinner. We ate a delicious chicken with potatoes!
Then, I went to bed, I was so tired..

FIRST DAY

I woke up at 5:00 a.m. I was very tired because that night I hadn’t slept at all because I was very nervous, but I was very excited, so I forgot that I was tired!
When I left my house, it was raining. We caught the bus at 6:00 a.m. We spent three hours travelling up to Madrid, and we arrived at the airport at 9:30 (more or less).
We caught the plane at 12:30 and we stayed eight hours in the plane! We reached 11800 metres high. Out there, it was -52°C, and we travelled 800 kilometres per hour. Everything was so interesting!
During the flight, I watched a film and I listened to music, I was lucky as the trip for me ended up being very short!
Eight hours later, we arrived in Philadelphia, we were there three hours waiting for another plane. At 6:00 p.m, we caught the plane, and we stayed there for two hours until we arrived in Atlanta.
In Atlanta we waited for the students from Macon. They welcomed us warmly!
Then we went to Macon by bus, we spent all the trip talking with them, I think everybody was very excited!
When we arrived in Macon, I went with the twins, Caroline and Elizabet , to their house. They have a really beautiful house. They also have two big and sweet dogs. Everything is perfect for me, specially the family! The motger and the father are really nice, they told me from the very first moment that their house is my house. The little brother is so nice too, and the twins are so, so sweet. They are also very clever, and they can understand Spanish very well (their Spanish is better than my English ).
Caroline and Elizabeth, showed me my room, I was very surprised. I have a very big room, my own bathroom and my own little hall, because I sleep alone on the third floor.
I was very excited but I went to bed very early, I was very tired!
