FIFTH DAY

Every morning, I have  the same routine: I get up early, I have breakfast and I go to school.
This morning was like the others. I went to the same classes because the order of them only changes each week. During the same week the classes have the same periods as every day. I hope that this week will be fast. I hate having Philosophy in the last period. It’s boring and I don’t understand anything. In spite of everything, I like this routine! This is so different and I’m so surprised because everybody is so polite and nice.
When we left the school, we went to the theatre. Here we stayed half an hour and when we finished, Caroline and Elizabeth’s mum were waiting for us in the car with their sisters’ grandmother. We arrived home and I met her grandfather. Both of them are really nice people!
We were in the garden, and we also went to the river. There are lots of trees and the landscape is green and so beautiful!
Then, I was talking with their grandparents about Spain. Everybody is surprised and scared when I show photos of the ‘Toro Enmaromado’.
After that, I helped Mrs Pearson to lay the table, we had dinner together and we finished our homework.
Today it was a fantastic day, each day that passes I feel more and more comfortable with everybody and everything. It’s being a very exciting and important experience for me.

FOURTH DAY

On Tuesday, I got up at the same time as the rest of the days, at 6:00 a.m. I had a shower like every morning and I had breakfast with Elizabeth and Caroline. The American breakfast isn’t too different from the Spanish breakfast, I drank some orange juice and milk with cereal.
At 7:30 a.m, we left the house, today their father drove his car to the school.
Tuesday morning was entertaining. Definitely my favorite lesson is Maths. I think, I really like it.
At lunch we went to a class to eat pizza with some people from the key club.
When we left the school, we went to the theatre as they had some practice and while they were performing, I was studying some Biology lessons.
After that, we returned home. Caroline and Elizabeth had to do some homework, so I was with the dogs, they are so obedient!
When they finished, we went to a Mexican restaurant. I had never eaten food from Mexico, and I really liked it! We ate very well and we returned home with full stomachs!
When we arrived, I was with Mr and Mrs Pearson. I showed them photos of my family, my village and my town. Also, I explained them the differences between the north and the south of Spain, and we were searching for photos of some monuments like the Cathedral of Leon (Mrs Pearson liked it specially, she’s very Catholic), the University of Salamanca, La Plaza de Espana en Sevilla, Galicia’s mountains, ‘El Parador’ in Benavente.. They were very surprised and I never stop thinking that Spain is very beautiful!
Finally, I had to do my homework, so I tried to finish this diary and then, when I finished it, I went to my bed. Tomorrow will be a very interesting day, Caroline and Elizabeth’s grandparents will visit us from Florida. I’m very excited and glad to meet all the members of the family, and be one more person in it!

THIRD DAY

It was the first day of school for us! I got up at 6:00 a.m, I had a shower and I got dressed. I had breakfast with Caroline and then, we went to school at 7:30.
The school is very big and different from the typical Spanish schools. I went to some classes, and my favourite one was Statistics. I understood everything (more or less). The Biology class was awful because I like Biology and I didn’t understand anything about what she was saying.
We had lunch at 11:30. Caroline had made me a sandwich, It was delicious!
After lunch, we had other classes and we had flex-time at 2;45. When the classes ended, I went with Elizabeth and Caroline to an environmental group. Then they had theatre classes, so I went with them.
Then we went to their workplace in a dance school.
We returned home at 6:30, we had dinner and when I finished this journal, I went to bed. Tomorrow I should get up early, so I need to sleep well!

SECOND DAY

I got up at 12:30, I was with the family until 4:15. At 4:15 we started to get dressed because we had to go to church.
We stayed in the church for one hour, and then we went to a concert with Natalia and Laura Smoak (Laura is Caroline and Elizabeth’s friend ). We had a very good time listening to salsa, it was so funny!
After that, we returned home for having dinner. We ate a delicious chicken with potatoes!
Then, I went to bed, I was so tired..

FIRST DAY

I woke up at 5:00 a.m. I was very tired because that night I hadn’t slept at all because I was very nervous, but I was very excited, so I forgot that I was tired!
When I left my house, it was raining. We caught the bus at 6:00 a.m. We spent three hours travelling up to Madrid, and we arrived at the airport at 9:30 (more or less).
We caught the plane at 12:30 and we stayed eight hours in the plane! We reached 11800 metres high. Out there, it was -52°C, and we travelled 800 kilometres per hour. Everything was so interesting!
During the flight, I watched a film and I listened to music, I was lucky as the trip for me ended up being very short!
Eight hours later, we arrived in Philadelphia, we were there three hours waiting for another plane. At 6:00 p.m, we caught the plane, and we stayed there for two hours until we arrived in Atlanta.
In Atlanta we waited for the students from Macon. They welcomed us warmly!
Then we went to Macon by bus, we spent all the trip talking with them, I think everybody was very excited!
When we arrived in Macon, I went with the twins, Caroline and Elizabet , to their house. They have a really beautiful house. They also have two big and sweet dogs. Everything is perfect for me, specially the family! The motger and the father are really nice, they told me from the very first moment that their house is my house. The little brother is so nice too, and the twins are so, so sweet. They are also very clever, and they can understand Spanish very well (their Spanish is better than my English ).
Caroline and Elizabeth, showed me my room, I was very surprised. I have a very big room, my own bathroom and my own little hall, because I sleep alone on the third floor.
I was very excited but I went to bed very early, I was very tired!
